Sayon Camara back in Midcoast Maine!
Just back from Guinea, West Africa, Sayon Camara, joined by his wife, Lev, will be here to warm up Midcoast Maine for two, fabulous workshops in mid February.

All levels welcome to both workshops!
Sayon Camara is a wonderful teacher of West African drumming. His warmth, humor and genuine love for the music of his culture cuts through all sorts of barriers to bring the student to the heart and soul of djembe and dunun drumming. As Sayon joyously weaves his magic spell, you'll find yourself singing, clapping and drumming effortlessly into this fascinating world of rhythm.

Friday Workshop
Date: Friday, Feb 10th, 2012
Where: 51 High Street, Winnegance Ledge Studio, Bath Maine
Time: 6PM – 8PM (a short stretch break is scheduled)
Cost: $35
What to bring: a full-sized djembe, water, perhaps a sweater/sweatshirt layer to shed as you get warmer from drumming.
Saturday Workshop
Date: Saturday Feb 11th, 2012
Where: 51 High Street, Winnegance Ledge Studio, Bath Maine
Time: 12PM – 4PM (a 30 – 40 minute rest break is scheduled)
Cost: $70
What to bring: a full-sized djembe, water, a bag lunch for the break, sweater/sweatshirt layer to shed as you get warmer from drumming.
Package Cost for Both Workshops: $95 (save $10)
Advance registration is required
Djembe drum rentals are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Cost is $5 rental for an individual workshop, $7 for both workshop days. Please contact us IN ADVANCE (319-7433) to check on availability and to reserve a drum.
Dunun drums will be provided for the workshop. If you happen to own a dunun drum we'd be thrilled if you'd bring it along since we do have a limited number.
