Drum Sales
We build and sell custom Djembe drums
We get our shells from the Ivory Coast. These shells are some of the best quality Ivory Coast shells we have seen. We sand and shape the rims so the playing surface is always smooth and comfortable to play.
We only use high quality goat skins for the heads of the drums. Goat skins provide some of the best sounding heads for djembe drums, and are the traditional way of getting the true voice of the djembe to emerge. Our skins are from the Ivory Coast and are a good thickness for the diameter of each drum.
All rings are welded steel, and the drums are strung with 4.5mm double braided polyester cord with a strong low-stretch core.
A lot of pride and care goes into each of our drums. We guarantee that you will be satisfied with the results.
Please contact us if you would like to purchase a drum, or if you would like to see the drums and shells we currently have in stock.
We will help you find the right drum
There are so many different brands of commercially made djembe drums. What are the benefits and pitfalls of each? How do you know if the "authentic" West African djembe you are looking at buying is truly well made? What do you look for in a quality drum? Is this a good price for a djembe?
We can help answer all of your questions.
One thing we hate to see is someone rush out and buy a drum, and after a couple months of playing it realize that it wasn't a good purchase after all. We can help you avoid the pitfalls of buying the wrong drum.
There are a lot of choices out there for djembe drums. Also, because the demand for djembe drums are high, there are a lot of poorly made drums on the market. We can help you find a good quality djembe, at a reasonable price and one that exactly meets your needs.
